Full name is TRAN VAN CHAU
Born in 1945 in Ben Tre Province, Southern Vietnam
Tran Chau graduated from Gia Dinh College of Fine Arts in 1964 as a top student and has since practiced as a professional artist. He is a member of The Association of Fine Arts in Ho Chi Minh City.
The artist has participated in numerous local and overseas exhibitions of which he won various prestigious awards for his outstanding artworks. On the occasion of his 65th anniversary in 2010, a solo exhibition held by Tran Chau at Ho Chi Minh City’s University of Fine Arts was much praised by his colleagues and the media.

Besides practicing as an artist Tran Chau also works as an accomplished architectural designer. He has designed more than hundred big and small scale projects in Vietnam. His artworks are in private collections in Singapore, Hong Kong, USA, France, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam.
